Privacy policy.

What this website collects, who receives it and how to opt out. The analytics and visitor identification tools on this site are always on, and this page says so plainly.

01Who we are

This website, obitodigital.com, is run by OBITO LLC. Obito Digital is a brand of OBITO LLC. We are based in Tampa Bay, Florida. In this policy, “we” and “us” mean OBITO LLC.

For any question about this policy or about your information, use the contact form.

02The short version

  • If you use the contact form, we receive what you type, the page you sent it from and any campaign tags in the link you arrived by. It goes into our CRM and a log file on our server, and may also be emailed to our team.
  • Four analytics and visitor identification tools run on every page as soon as it loads: Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity, Plausible and RB2B. They are always on. The cookie banner does not switch them on or off.
  • RB2B can identify some visitors in the United States by name, LinkedIn profile and business email, even if they never fill in the form. We may contact people it identifies who have shown interest in our work.
  • We do not sell the information you give us, and we do not add you to a mailing list.
  • You can block these tools in your browser and opt out with each provider. The section on opting out explains how.

03What you send us through the contact form

When you submit the contact form, we receive:

  • your name and email address;
  • your organization, if you enter one (the form asks for it on requests for registration details or team bios);
  • your message, including the optional box describing your project or request, and the type of request;
  • the address of the page you sent it from, and the time you sent it;
  • any UTM campaign tags (such as utm_source or utm_campaign) that were in the link you first arrived by. The site keeps these in your browser's session storage until you close the tab, so they can be attached to the form.

That information goes to these places:

  1. Our CRM, GoHighLevel. We create or update a contact record matched on your email address, with your name, organization, project details and UTM tags. We add tags that mark it as a website form submission, and a note with the request type, page, time and your message.
  2. A GoHighLevel webhook. A copy of the same submission is sent to an inbound webhook in our GoHighLevel account.
  3. A log file on our server. Each submission is added to an append-only file outside the public part of the website, readable only by the account that runs the site.
  4. An email notification, when switched on. Our server's mail system can send our team an email with your name, email address, organization, the page, the time and your message.

We use this information to reply to you and to keep a record of the conversation. We do not add you to a mailing list. If you email us directly, we keep that email in our mailbox and may add you to our CRM so we can follow the conversation.

04What our server records

To stop automated abuse of the contact form, the site reads the IP address of each submission and allows three submissions per minute from one address. The address is held in memory for about a minute for that check. It is not saved with your message.

Like most websites, our web server also keeps access logs: the IP address, time, page requested, referring page and browser of each request. We use them for security and to fix problems.

05Analytics and visitor identification

The four tools below load on every page of this site as soon as the page opens. They run whether or not you click “Got it” on the cookie banner. Each provider handles the data under its own privacy policy, linked below.

Google Analytics 4

Records the pages you view, the page that referred you, your approximate location, your device and browser, and how you interact with pages. It sets cookies to recognize your browser on later visits. We have turned off Google signals and ad personalization for this site. Google's policy: policies.google.com/privacy.

Microsoft Clarity

Records clicks, scrolling, mouse movement and the layout of the pages you see, which we use to watch session recordings and heatmaps of how the site is used. It sets cookies with a pseudonymous ID, including some on Microsoft domains. Microsoft's policy: privacy.microsoft.com/privacystatement.

Plausible Analytics

Counts page views, referring sites, campaign tags, browser, operating system, device type and approximate location. Plausible says it uses no cookies and does not store raw IP addresses; it counts unique visitors with an identifier that changes every 24 hours. Plausible's data policy: plausible.io/data-policy.

RB2B

RB2B is a visitor identification service. On its website, RB2B says it provides “the names, LinkedIn profiles, and email addresses of real people” who visit a site, that this person-level identification covers visitors in the United States only, and that it identifies the companies of visitors in other countries through a partner, Demandbase. It says it matches visitors using first-party and third-party cookies, device IDs and IP addresses, and it reports which pages they viewed.

This means that if you visit from the United States, we may learn your name, LinkedIn profile, business email, company and the pages you looked at, without you filling in the form. We use this to see which companies and people are interested in our work, and we may contact people who have shown interest, for example by email or on LinkedIn. If you would rather not hear from us, reply and say so, or tell us through the contact form, and we will not contact you again. RB2B's policy: rb2b.com/privacy-policy.

06Cookies and browser storage

These are the cookies and storage items the site and its tools use:

NameSet byWhat it does
_ga, _ga_*Google AnalyticsRecognizes your browser across visits.
_clck, _clskMicrosoft ClarityKeeps a Clarity user ID and joins page views into one session recording.
CLID, MUID and othersMicrosoft Clarity, on Microsoft domainsThird-party cookies that identify your browser across sites using Clarity and Microsoft services.
VariesRB2BFirst-party and third-party cookies used to identify visitors, as described above.
obito_cookie_consent, obito_cookie_consent_dateThis site (local storage)Remembers that you dismissed the cookie banner, for 365 days. It does not change which tools run.
sg-utmThis site (session storage)Holds the UTM tags from the link you arrived by, so the contact form can include them. Cleared when you close the tab.

Plausible sets no cookies.

07How to block these tools or opt out

Because the tools are always on, the choice is made in your browser and with each provider:

  • Block cookies. Every major browser lets you block third-party cookies, or all cookies for a site, in its privacy settings. Blocking cookies stops most of the identification described above.
  • Block the scripts. A tracker-blocking browser extension, or a browser with tracking protection turned on, can stop all four tools from loading. The site works without them.
  • Google Analytics. Install Google's opt-out browser add-on: tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
  • RB2B. RB2B's privacy policy points to an opt-out form for removing your information from its database: app.retention.com/optout.
  • Microsoft Clarity. Block cookies for this site and for Microsoft domains, or manage your choices through Microsoft's privacy policy linked above.
  • Information we hold. Write to us through the contact form and we will tell you what we have, correct it or delete it from our CRM, log file and mailbox.

The site does not currently read Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signals from your browser.

08Who else receives your information

We do not sell the information you give us. It is handled by these providers, for the purposes described above:

  • GoHighLevel, our CRM;
  • Google, Microsoft, Plausible and RB2B, for analytics and visitor identification;
  • the company that hosts our server, and our email provider.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to our lawyers and accountants when they need it to advise us.

These providers may process data in the United States and in other countries.

09How long we keep it

We keep contact form submissions, in our CRM, log file and mailbox, while we are in conversation or working with you, and afterwards as a business record, unless you ask us to delete them. Analytics and identification data is kept by each provider under its own retention rules.

10Your rights

You can ask us what information we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it, through the contact form. Depending on where you live, for example in California or the European Union, you may have further rights under local law, such as the right to object to processing. Tell us what you would like and we will act on it.

11Security

The site is served over HTTPS. The contact log file sits outside the public part of the website and can be read only by the account that runs the site. No system is perfectly secure, so please do not send passwords, payment details or other sensitive information through the form.

12Children

This site is for businesses and public agencies. It is not meant for children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

13Changes to this policy

When we change what the site collects or who receives it, we update this page and the date at the top.
